Anaesthesia

Anaesthesia is a very widely practiced procedure in the veterinary world. Light anaesthesia (commonly referred to as Sedation) is regularly used to aid in small, quick procedures such as taking X-Rays, for removal of grass seeds, examination of ears, or for clipping sore spots. Sedation may also be recommended for routine treatments like vaccinations, bloodwork or nail trims in circumstances that your pet’s stress levels in clinic can not be managed by other means.
Anaesthesia is used for surgical procedures, dentistry and some diagnostic procedures. Over the past 10 years there have been many advances in veterinary anaesthesia and anaesthetic monitoring equipment. All anaesthetics are closely monitored by a designated veterinary nurse who closely watches your pet’s vital signs throughout their entire procedure. We use the latest and safest anaesthetics and equipment to ensure maximum safety for your pets.
