Jessica Wagg
Practice Manager
I joined the Inner South team in April 2019 and completed my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing shortly after, in July 2019. My career working with animals began in 2015, and since then I’ve completed a Herpetology course, a Venomous Snake Handling course (both in 2016), and my Certificate III in Captive Animals in 2018. These experiences helped me discover a strong passion for veterinary nursing, which continues to grow every day.
After four years of nursing, I was proud to step into the role of Head Nurse at Inner South. In May 2024, I took on a new challenge as Practice Manager, allowing me to expand my leadership and administrative skills. Although I now manage the clinic, I still regularly nurse—I love being hands-on with patient care and staying closely connected with both our clients and their pets.
At home, I have two much-loved dogs—Levi, a black Labrador, and Barjo, a Staffy x Kelpie—who well and truly run the house. I also have two Bredl’s Pythons, Montie and Smithers, who are a little more laid-back but equally special. Together, they bring a lot of joy (and personality!) to my everyday life and constantly remind me why I’m so passionate about animal care.
