Dr Bonnie
Veterinarian
Bonnie was born and raised in Guangzhou, China, before moving to the United States, where she studied in Washington and later completed a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science at the University of California, Davis. She then moved to Australia to follow her passion for veterinary medicine and graduated from the University of Sydney with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. Growing up and studying across three countries has given her the ability to speak English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
She loves large breed dogs but will never say no to a cute puppy—or any other animal that needs care. One of her favourite parts of being a vet is winning the trust of anxious patients—both dogs and cats—and helping them feel calm and safe during their visits. Her professional interests include surgery, wound management, and dermatology.
Outside of work, she enjoys a wide range of creative hobbies, from beadwork and sewing to cosplay and K-pop dance. She’s also a big fan of anime and loves relaxing with a good documentary. At home, she shares her life with Noah, her much-loved six-year-old black Labrador, who not only keeps her smiling but also joins her on solo road trips and adventures.
